That’s right. Hilary Duff has officially admitted to using the popular dating app Tinder – and she even based her most recent music video, “Sparks,” off of her experiences. How bold and brave is that?
A few weeks ago, rumors spread that Ms.Duff did, in fact, have a Tinder profile. Of course such a profile could have been fake – imagine being an L.A. regular old Joe and matching with Hilary Duff; you would think “no way is this legit,” surprise boys, it is!
Hilary admitted to “Valentine in the Morning” on 104.3 FM in L.A. that the Tinder profile was really her. “It’s true…I’m on Tinder,” she laughed out loud!
The blue/blonde beauty had her first date that night and 9 other lucky (non-celeb) dates lined up!
How do you get Hil to swipe you right? Well, she shared that, of course, physical attraction is the first thing everyone notices on Tinder. After that, she loves a guy who can make her laugh based on what he has to say in his “about me.” In the music video – her friend says anyone who likes sriracha, cheese, and vodka will interest Hilary – too funny!
What will swipe you to the left? “I don’t want to see a shirtless mirror selfie – that’s instantly a left!” Ugh – us too, Hil!

104.3 “Valentine in the Morning” Interview
Now onto the Tinder inspired video! A few of her dates were lucky enough to be featured in her music video as well.
The video features Hilary in the radio station where she first opened up about her Tinder life and she proceeds to share her experiences throughout the video. Hil laughs with her friends as she creates her profile and swipes right or left, goes bowling with date number one, and go-cart racing with date number two.
“I want to know what it is that connects you to someone, and what it is that gives you those Sparks,” could Hilary fall for a “normie”? We definitely think so! “I never ever thought I would do something like this – and when I just surrendered to the experience, I had a great time!”
Although the video is meant to have a silly and fun vibe – which we love – Hilary also inspires us to do something crazy, to come out of our shell, and experience life; no matter how big or how small the experience is! “Go do something crazy, go do something you wouldn’t do before.”
We will get right on that, Hilary. Happy Tindering!
