#Periodsarenotaninsult Goes Viral After Misogynistic Trump Remark

The hashtag became viral after the dispute between Kelly and Trump

Everyone and their mom was upset last week when Republican candidate Donald Trump tweeted angrily about Fox’s Megyn Kelly and about her hostile questioning. The next day, in an interview with Don Lennon on CNN, he later stated how he saw “blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever.”

Quickly connecting the allusion to a woman’s period, many irritated women began bombarding Trump with tweets updating him on their own menstruations along with the hashtag #periodsarenotinsults.

PMS or premenstrual syndrome has been used for decades as a casual and easy way for men to disregard a woman’s strong personality by claiming its simply hormonal. And candidate Trump does not seem to recognize that. Although he does later make a statement saying that was not the meaning of his statement, he does not intend on apologizing to Kelly.

Again, Trump has not disappointed the American public with another one of his outspoken and thoughtless remarks. However, in the end, Megyn Kelly shouldn’t be too upset right? This country just doesn’t have time to be politically correct. And according to Trump, it doesn’t. What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments below or on twitter using #glamorouspaper.
